Set in Iran during World War II, this historical novel follows Babak and his younger sister Sana after the death of their father. Fearing separation, the siblings journey into the Zagros Mountains, where Babak attempts to continue his father's work teaching nomadic tribes. Through themes of survival, education, compassion, and resilience, the story explores the human impact of war and the power of learning and solidarity across cultural and religious differences
